Week 10, 11, 12 update

So I figure since no one reads this blog anyway (at least I doubt it) I don't really have to update every week.  I know that I should just at least for my own reference, but oh well.  It is what it is.

Weight Gain: Still down a couple pounds.

Symptoms:  Still none.   No morning sickness, but still some nausea.

Cravings:  Nothing really.  No real "need to have it all the time" cravings.  I crave some things, but when I get them, I'm done.  I usually wont want it for a while.

Aversions:  Just what I have once craved...and currently Mexican.

Sleep:  Still like sleep, but I can now currently go a whole day without taking a nap and I'm not dead on my feet by 4.

I am loving:  The fact that its all going by so fast.  I want it to slow down a little because I honestly am a little overwhelmed, but I want it to go by fast to I can get to the really big milestones...finding out the gender, feeling it move...etc.

I miss:  Being able to eat what I want when I want.  Now there are so many rules...no caffeine (which I limit myself, but still) No lunch meat, etc.  I miss food.

I am looking forward to:  Well I'm not really sure.  I don't know what is supposed to happen next, but I look forward to feeling the baby.

I'm spazzing about: There is a baby in there!.  Still hard to believe.

Best moment this week:  Hearing the heart beat.  Doc said it was 160 beats per minute.  That only leads me further to believe that its a girl.

Milestones: We got a good stash of baby clothes this week from Richards cousin.  They are so cute, and SO TINY!!!  One is orange, Richard says its going...but it has the cutest little duck on it, so it stays ;)   Can that be a milestone?

Movement:  Sometimes I lie on my stomach hoping to feel that little flutter. Sometimes I feel this little bubbly feeling that you read about on the Internet, but it seems like it would be too high, but I think that if I lie on my stomach I can feel it, and I think that I can, but only time will tell.

It's a...: Dot! I'll let you know in March.

Exercise:  I am actually getting some.....I have a new job and have to park about 2-3 blocks away and I walk there and back every day...that counts right?  Its better than laying in bed all day ;) LOL.

Gender Quiz

A long time ago one of the blogs that I follow listed this quiz as a post when she was pregnant with her first.  I just remembered it and thought that it would be fun.  I had always thought for as long as I can remember that I would get pregnant in November....that came true.   I have also thought for as long as I can remember that my first child would be a girl.....so of course since I'm only 10 weeks, I wont know for a while still.  But that doesn't stop me from doing all kinds of quizzes to find out.....so far most have pointed towards girl.  Lets see what this one says.....

Boy or Girl? 21 Old Wives’ Tales That May Tell You*

Sleep Position
Pay attention to which way you lay down in bed tonight. If you prefer sleeping on your left side, you’ll have a boy. Right side? You’re pregnant with a girl.
GIRL – I prefer sleeping on my right side, but have been making a solid effort to lie on my left as the circulation is supposed to be better for baby.

Upset Stomach
Little girls aren’t always sweet. Extreme nausea means you are having a girl.
BOY.  Some nausea, but overall no problems (Knock on wood!)

Soft or Dry Hands
If your hands are dry during pregnancy, you are having a boy; soft—expect a girl.
BOY.  But my hands are always dry.

Food Cravings
Your favorite pregnancy foods may tell you what sex the baby is. If you’re craving citrus while pregnant, you’re having a girl.
GIRL — My cravings have been for fruits and orange juice (among a couple of other things)  But I would count orange juice as a citrus fruit

Adult Acne
If altering hormones makes your skin break out, expect a girl.
BOY — It broke out at first, and I still have some, but thats not unusual for me, but I'm still gonna say boy.

Graceful or Clumsy Pregnancy
If you feel as though you’re gliding through they day, you’ll have a girl. Stumbling? It’s a boy.
GIRL --- Usually I am pretty clumsy.  But not lately.

Face Weight Gain
If your face gets fuller, it means you’re having a girl.
I’ve only just started to gain some weight, so I don’t have the answer for this yet. But when I’ve gained weight in the past, I’ve gained in my face, so — GIRL.

Sugar and Spice Food Cravings
Craving salt during pregnancy? Potato chips, pretzels, and popcorn means a boy is on the way. Need a little something sweet? Ice cream, chocolate, and candy means you’re having a girl.
GIRL. Mmmm, ice cream.  I have actually not been craving either, but I seriously don't want ANY of those salty things and normally I LOVE me some popcorn, so definitely girl

Mood Changes
If you’re experiencing pregnant mood-swings, expect a baby girl to arrive soon.
GIRL — Although I would say that I haven't been that bad, but Richard may have a difference of opinion.

High or Low Pregnant Belly
If you’re carrying the baby low on your stomach, expect a boy. If it’s high, you’re having a girl.
I don’t think I’m far enough along to answer this, but when I look at my stomach in pictures, it seems to me that my whole stomach is getting larger, not just the lower part, so I'm going with GIRL.

Baby Weight
If you’re carrying baby in front, it’s a boy. Is the baby weight spaced all around your middle? It’s a girl.
Same as the last question, but we’ll go with GIRL.

Pendulum Test
Dangle a chain with a charm over your palm. If it swings back and forth: boy. In a circle: girl.
GIRL.

Model Your Hands
“Show me your hands.” If you would hold your hands palms up it’s a girl. Down? You’re having a boy.
I think that I would show my hands palm down, so I'm gonna say BOY

Toddler Advice
Get baby advice from a nephew or friend’s little boy. If a toddler boy shows interest in your belly, you’ll have a girl. If he ignores you, it’s a boy.
I don't know any toddlers  :(, so I cant go by this one.

Eat Garlic
Guess the baby’s sex by eating garlic. If the smell seeps out of your pores it’s a boy. If there’s no scent it’s a little girl.
I didn’t try this, but I would guess GIRL since I always smell like garlic after I eat it.

Key to Pregnancy
If you pick up a key by the round end, you’re having a boy. If it’s by the long end? A girl.
It really depends I think, but I am gonna say that I pick them up by the long end.  GIRL

Even and Odd Numbers
If your age and year of conception are both even or odd, it’s girl. One even, one odd means a boy.
BOY.

Baby’s Heartbeat
If the baby’s heart beats more than 150 times per minute, you’re pregnant with a girl. Less than 150, it’s a boy.
GIRL --- 159 BPM

Stress Test
A child tends to be of the same sex as the parent who is less stressed at the time of conception.
I know that I am usually less stressed than Richard, so I am definitely gonna say GIRL on this one.

Dream Meanings
If you dream about having a girl while pregnant, you will wind up having a boy and vice versa.
I had a dream last night that I had a boy, but they wouldn't let me see it because I couldn't remember his name, yeah, random piece of information LOL --- GIRL.

Breast Size
If your right breast is larger than the left while pregnant, you are having a girl. If the left is larger, it’s a baby boy.
GIRL, need I say more? LOL.

* Source
15 for GIRL  and 5 for BOY, and one I couldn't answer.

If I belive any of these, it’s overwhelmingly GIRL. But who knows?
So, what do you think? Are we having a boy or a girl? About 90 percent of the people in my life think we’re having a boy, and usually solely on the fact that I haven't had any actual morning sickness, just some nausea.
